To assist with the smooth running of sale day, we ask that producers familiarise themselves with the following advice and information ahead of the day.
1) Download the sale catalogue from our website beforehand and check two key details: your allocated holding pen(s) and your position within the sale order. The sale will proceed in district order, as listed in the catalogue.
2) Make sure that you have prepared all your paperwork in advance and have it ready for presentation at the point of stock delivery. This should include recording your QMS/VAn on your FCI/Movement documents.
3) Arrive early! Stock can usually be delivered from 6.00am. Please do not leave it too close to the scheduled start of the sale.
4) Pens at the mart have been renumbered. Please ensure that you are familiar with the layout shown in the image below and identify the location of your pen(s). The red area indicates inside pens and all others are outdoors.
5) Stay with your stock as your sale slot approaches. Producers must be present for the sale of their stock in the ring and risk being passed over to the end of the sale if not present.
6) Please be considerate when parking cars and trailers. Don’t block in the vehicles of other mart users and do not restrict the Steinish road. The village road must be kept clear at all times.
